Get to Know Dr. Andrea Monester

Dr. Andrea Monestero grew up in Smithton, a small town in southern Illinois. As a child she knew she wanted to be in the medical field and has always had a passion for helping people. After shadowing many doctors while attending the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana, she chose to go to dental school. Dr. Monestero loves that her profession allows her to interact and have fun with her patients and use both science and artistry to provide the best quality care. Dr. Monestero graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago dental school in 2013 and completed a general practice residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic hospital. She moved back to St. Louis to be closer to family and friends and married her husband, Dr. Andrew Monestero who she met in school at “tooth prom.” She and her husband moved to Chesterfield in 2020 when they had their second son.

Dr. Monestero is a life long learner and enjoys expanding her knowledge of dentistry and providing multiple services to her patients. She has completed many continuing education courses and is certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics to inject botulinum toxin for both therapeutic (TMJ issues and headaches) and cosmetic purposes. She understands many people have dental anxiety and takes her time to get to know each patient in order to make them as comfortable as possible. Andrea loves playing sports and board games with her boys, Dominic and Aiden. She and her husband enjoy hiking, skiing, going out to dinner and they are always up for a costume party! She has gone on several medical and dental mission trips to provide care to underserved populations. Andrea feels blessed to have a skill that she can use to improve people’s health and confidence. She is grateful to be a dentist; especially when she can help people show their best smile!
