Frequently Asked Dentistry Questions
Have a question for us? Fantastic, we always like to make sure our patients completely understand their dental care and options! Below, you’ll find answers to many of the most common questions our patients ask us every day. If you happen to have a question that we haven’t answered here, be sure to give us a call and ask! No question is too small, we promise!
How often should I visit the dentist?
According to Dr. Yenzer, as well as the American Dental Association, patients of all ages should visit the dentist at least twice a year in order to keep their smile looking great and avoid preventable dental problems such as tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, and more.
Do you see children/senior patients?
Yes! Yenzer Family Dental of Chesterfield is happy to treat smiles of all ages! Whether they’re 3 or 103, everyone you care about is always welcome through our doors.
Why does my tooth hurt?
There are many reasons that a tooth may be experiencing pain, some of which can be quite serious. If you have a persistent toothache, be sure to contact us right away so we can find the source of your problem and fix it!
How should I replace my missing teeth?
This all depends on how many teeth you need to be replaced, your dental health, and your budget. We’re happy to offer more traditional replacements like bridges and dentures, but for the most natural-looking and long-lasting results, we may recommend dental implants. They offer the only treatment that restores an entire missing tooth from the root up and can be relied on to last for 30 years or more.
What can you do about my smile’s appearance?
We can do lots of things! With cosmetic dentistry, we can whiten your teeth, fix small chips and cracks, close gaps, and even give you a complete smile makeover. We’ll help you design your dream smile and then make it a reality over the course of just one or two easy appointments.
Are metal braces the only way I can straighten my teeth?
Not anymore! With Invisalign, you can get the straighter smile you’ve always wanted and not have to deal with a mouthful of metal brackets and wires. It uses a series of clear plastic aligner trays to gradually shift the teeth in the most discreet and comfortable way possible.
Will you accept my dental insurance?
Yes, and we are in-network with Delta Dental Premier, Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, and Sun Life. To learn how we can use your particular plan to help you save at your next appointment, please contact us today with your policy information handy.
